- LIS (WMS) launches Dispatcher-ActivityBilling.
The new system tracks storage of inventory and activities within the

and, when necessary, invoiced. The system can allow 3PLs to
accurately charge for value-added services such as kitting, repacking
and returns handling, including the associated quality control assessments.
Dispatcher-ActivityBilling also allows overheads, such as insurance
costs, to be added manually and reflected across a volume of work.
The module can collect information from any WMS and
can also interface with other supply chain systems, such as yard management
systems. This would allow companies to charge back the amount of time
that had been spent in moving trailers around the yard on a particular
customer's behalf. All screens are web-based, allowing the customer
to monitor billable activity over the Internet. The system can collate
information from multiple sites and in multiple languages and currencies,
allowing users such as 3PLs to bill in sterling, dollars or euros,
depending on each customer's requirements.
